This last Sunday I planned on attending the Milwaukee Air Show along the lake front. The Blue Angels were going to be their. Besides being a great opportunity to run the Tamron 150-600mm through its paces, Place photography has intrigued me.
On Sunday morning at 8:30am I headed down towards the Milwaukee Lakefront, only about 15 minutes away, as I neared the lakefront you could see heavy fog still in place. I found a place to park, and waited listening to the radios ongoing weather forecast to see if they thought it would lift. But after a little over an hour it was showing no signs of improving.
Well, I decided to drive an hour north and go to the Horizon Marsh. On arriving I lucked out, as there was a nice breeze, and no fog around. I Walked the Southern Unit near the Town of Horizon. Well to Dyke Rd, and the North end near Waupun. It ended up being a great day, got some nice shots. The image in this post was a Sandhill Crane I saw being harassed by a Red Wing Blackbird. More o come next post.
